Having never received such punishment as a kid! I too feel the same way!
Although I did witness about ½ dozen or more spankings where the naughty ones pants were pull down and spanked right in front of everyone.
As for fantasy or role-play, I'm all for it!

When I was 8 the next door neighbors had a single mom and her two daughters visiting on a Sunday afternoon.
The two girls were climbing on the mom's car and broke the windshield wiper. The mom was furious.
She came storming out to the sidewalk with a leather strap. In front of at least 8 neighborhood kids she lifted up their little cotton dresses and whipped each one over her cotton panties.
Their screaming and crying could be heard up and down the street. Strap marks were visible on the backs of their thighs so you can imagine the color of their hiney by the time she finished with them.
The mom was a big woman and had a deep voice. Before this incident I was afraid of her. So when she finished on the girls I backed away behind some other kids, not wanting her to grab me and give me a lickin' with that strap!
