The smiling woman makes me think more along the l lines of a babysitter spanking since a mother would probably not be reacting that way. Regardless, the picture depicts a severely punished boy, with a bright red butt. But the punishment in this case is more than a fiery butt. He's either had his pants or pajamas taken down prior to going over the knee, or he was forced to take them down prior, because they are "down in front" too. He is getting a pants down, dick out spankin, and whoever that woman is got to see. It's hard to tell how old he is supposed to be so I won't go into the humiliation that might have occurred. He can't wait to get up and off of that damn lap, but he's going to be on display again even when it does finally happen.
Oh yes, that's a babysitter depiction. Look at the clothes she is wearing especially her socks and shoes. Also there is a family picture in the background with a mother figure with different hair. Plus she looks too young.
